On April 26th, the Language and Culture Center invited Dr. Yang Yike, Assistant Professor and Head of the Chinese Department Curriculum and Activities Coordination at the University of Hong Kong, to conduct research guidance and exchange activities for all the teachers in the International Chinese Language Teaching Department. Dr. Yang Yike delivered a lecture titled "Publishing in International Journals: Insights on Research Topics, Writing, and Submission," and, taking into consideration our institution's specific circumstances, provided detailed guidance and explanations on research issues in the field of international Chinese education.

Dr. Yang Yike is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chinese Language and Literature at the University of Hong Kong. He also serves as the Head of the Chinese Department Curriculum and Activities Coordination. Dr. Yang holds a Ph.D. in Linguistic Philosophy and specializes in the field of language acquisition, including first language acquisition, second language acquisition, bilingualism, and language acquisition in special populations. He is a promising scholar who has not only published numerous papers in SSCI/SCIE/EI/SCOPUS journals but also serves as a reviewer for several international journals.

During his lecture, Dr. Yang shared his extensive experience without reservation in six key areas: the advantages of international journals, research topics in international Chinese education, research design and analysis, academic writing in international Chinese education, the publication process in international journals, and insights on submitting articles to international journals. He drew upon a wealth of research examples accumulated over the years, providing clear explanations to address the research challenges faced by teachers in the International Chinese Language Teaching Department and helping them clarify their research ideas and methodologies.

Both the teachers and students who attended the lecture expressed that they greatly benefited from Dr. Yang's presentation. They praised the depth, breadth, relevance, and systematic nature of his insights, which significantly boosted their confidence in continuing their research and teaching endeavors in the field of international Chinese education.

Throughout this semester, the International Chinese Language Teaching Department has organized research and teaching activities in an organized manner, aligning with the school's educational and research requirements. This has strengthened the cohesion of grassroots teaching organizations and effectively enhanced the academic literacy of teachers.
