In order to better learn, inherit and spread the excellent Chinese culture, and further do a good job in international Chinese teaching, on September 11th, 2021, under the leadership of Jiang Yonghua, Vice Dean of the School of Liberal Arts and Deputy Director of the Language and Culture Center, all CPC members and teachers of the Language and Culture Center visited the Memorial Hall of Ma Xiangbo in Danyang.
In the memorial Hall, as the interpreter described and explained the precious historical photos and historical relics vividly, everyone had a clearer understanding and a deeper understanding of this great patriotic personage and educator in the history of modern China.
Afterwards, everyone visited the Danyang Excellent Traditional Chinese culture inheritance demonstration base "Shibei Regular embroidery", listened to Shi Bei, a teacher of the intangible cultural heritage, and watched her interpretation of "random needle embroidery".
Ma Xiangbo (1840—1939) was a famous educator in China, and also the founder and first principal of Aurora University, Fudan University, Fudan Middle School, Xiangming Middle School, and a patriot. Cai Yuanpei, an outstanding educator, and Yu Youren and Shao Lizi, senior officials of the Republic of China, were all his disciples. His younger brother Ma Jianzhong was a famous diplomat and the author of Ma Shi Wen Tong, the foundation of modern Chinese grammar.
