Faculty and Students Watch the Zhenjiang Special Report
on Educator Spirit in Jiangsu
On the morning of August 31, the School of Liberal Arts (Language and Culture Center) organized faculty and students to watch and study the Zhenjiang Special Report on *Educator Spirit in Jiangsu*. The report was sponsored by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education, and co-hosted by the Zhenjiang Municipal Bureau of Education, Jiangsu University and other institutions.

Members of the school’s leadership, administrative staff and student representatives watched the report collectively in Room 903D of Sanjiang Building and Room 1309 of Jingjiang Building, while other faculty and students joined the event online. They gained inspiration from the exemplary power of the educator spirit. At the report session, several outstanding teachers delivered speeches, sharing touching stories of staying committed to their mission of nurturing talent and practicing the educator spirit.

*Open That Door*, presented by the publicity group from Zhenjiang No.1 High School, struck a deep chord among the audience. Centered on the true stories of three generations of educators, the presentation poignantly illustrated the inheritance of teaching ethics across generations. Wu Tiejun and Gu Ziying, members of the group, are distinguished alumni of the School of Liberal Arts, Jiangsu University. After graduation, they devoted themselves to education in Zhenjiang and kept forging ahead in teaching.
After watching the report, faculty and students were deeply inspired. They expressed that they would follow the example of these outstanding alumni, internalize the educator spirit and put it into practice, uphold the original aspiration of education, shoulder the mission of the times, and contribute to the high-quality development of the university.
