Language and Culture Center Hosts Second Chinese Corner of 2026
On the evening of June 4, the Language and Culture Center held its second Chinese Corner event of 2026 in Room 1104, Jingjiang Building. Targeted primarily at international students with elementary-level Chinese proficiency, the session drew more than 20 participants from Pakistan, Ghana, Nepal, Mongolia, Nigeria, Indonesia and other countries.
Six student volunteers majoring in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages at the School of Liberal Arts made thorough plans and preparations in advance. They carefully designed interactive activities including character-image matching, sentence-building, antonym pairing, character-component assembly and telephone relay games. Covering listening, speaking, reading and writing, these activities guided international students through multi-dimensional practice. Participants gained a richer understanding of the Chinese language and greater motivation for further Chinese learning.
