Ethnic Chinese College Students Visited the China Mi Fu Calligraphy Park

On the morning of August 24th, the 2024 Ethnic Chinese College Students Chinese Culture Experience Camp went to China Mi Fu Calligraphy Park and Zhenjiang Pot Noodle Tasting Hall for a unique cultural experience.China Mi Fu Calligraphy Park was built in honor of Mi Fu, a famous calligrapher and painter of the Song Dynasty, and is located at the southern foot of Zhenjiang's Shili Changshan Mountain. Mi Fu lived here for 40 years, from the time he migrated and settled until he died and was buried in Dantu, and created his elegant calligraphy and Mi's Cloud Mountainpainting style. Here, the campers experienced the profoundness of Chinese calligraphy.During the vivid and detailed explanation of the lecturer, the campers concentrated on their meditation and appreciated those classic works that have been passed down for thousands of years, and every stroke of the brush made the campers deeply feel the unique flavor and artistic charm of Chinese Calligraphy.Afterwards, the activity turned to the chapter of creativity and practice. Under the careful guidance of the docents and volunteers, the campers experienced the fun of pottery and billeting.After completing the pottery creation, the campers were excited to join the Wadang topography and movable character printing experience. They handled carefully, their faces were full of the fun of exploration and sense of achievement.

At lunchtime, the campers tasted Zhenjiang cuisine - pot noodles. The unique way of cooking was amazing, and the noodles had a tantalizing aroma and strong cultural flavor.

On this trip, the art of calligraphy and local cuisine were intertwined, showing the charm of Zhenjiang culture. The campers not only felt the rhythm of calligraphy, but also appreciated the unique flavor of the city, and their hearts were full of love and yearning for Zhenjiang.
