On the afternoon of January 15, Mr. Seo Beng Yee, Chairman of the International Chinese Media Alliance (ICMA), Chairman of Malaysian Media Group, Vice Chairman of Jiangsu Overseas Chinese Association for the Promotion of Literature and Director of International Communication Committee, and his delegation came to the Faculty of Letters for a visit and exchanges.
In the conference room of the Faculty of Letters, Prof. Ren Xiaofei, Dean of the Faculty of Letters, briefly introduced the characteristics and achievements of the Faculty in recent years in terms of discipline construction, talent introduction and Chinese language education. Mr. Xu Bingyi elaborated on the purpose of ICMA, which is “to tell China's stories and spread China's voice together”, and hoped to tell China's story, Jiangsu's story and Jiangsu University's story to the world through the power of Chinese language media. They also presented the famous calligrapher Li Guangxiao's “One stroke of the dragon” and a special issue of “Inside and Outside the Sea” magazine to the Faculty of Arts and Letters. The two sides conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges on overseas education and training exchanges, and expressed that they would strengthen further cooperation.
On the morning of the 16th, Dean of the College of Arts and Letters, Language and Culture Center Ren Xiaofei accompanied President Xu Bingyi and his entourage to the school's Talent Work Office, discussing the introduction of high-level talent and ways of publicity and promotion and other work. Mr. Xu Bingyi presented a calligraphy work of “Spirit of China” to the Talent Work Office.
In March, 2023, the overseas Chinese media in Jiangsu came to Zhenjiang, 15 Chinese media representatives from Sweden, Malaysia and other countries and regions made field visits and exchanges, and the College of Arts and Letters of Jiangsu University employed three Chinese media representatives, including Mr. Xu Bingyi, as special professors, which promoted the international education and talent cultivation of the university. The visit and exchange will further deepen the high-quality and in-depth cooperation between the two sides.
