2023 "China Root-Seeking Tour" Summer Camp Recitation Competition Held in Jiangsu Zhenjiang Camp

On the evening of July 23, 2023,Recitation competition— "Zhenjiang in My Eyes, China in My Heart" of 2023 "China Roots-Seeking Tour" Zhenjiang Camp was successfully held.

After the host introduced the scoring rules and awards, the theme recitation contest officially began. The contestants recited classical works such as "Moonlit Night on the Spring River", "Mooring at Guazhou", "Sending Xin Jian from Hibiscus Tower" and "Twilight River Song". Their rich body language and standard and emotional Mandarin won the praise of the audience and the judges. The partners under the stage raised their cell phones to cheer for the contestants in their own way.

After the contestants finished reciting, Vice dean Jiang Yonghua commented on behalf of the judges. He explained the knowledge and skills of recitation to the campers from a professional point of view and recited "Sending Xin Jian from Hibiscus Tower" as a demonstration.

Jiang Yonghua commented on behalf of the judges

 

The competition awarded the first, second and third prizes according to the scores, and also awarded the Best Theme Award, the Best Image Award, the Best Expression Award, the Best Resonance Award and the Best Creativity Award.

 

The judges were Jiang Yonghua, Vice Dean of the College of Arts and Letters and Deputy Director of the Language and Culture Center of Jiangsu University, Tang Min, Director of the International Chinese Language Teaching Department of the Language and Culture Center of Jiangsu University, Eddie Bai, Leader of the Center for Chinese Language and Culture of Spain, Li Keming, Leader of the Chinese Language and Culture Center of the U.S.A., and Ye Shaoqi, Leader of the Chinese Language and Culture Center of the Hanhua Chinese Language and Culture Center of Germany. The moderators were three students: Angela Xia from China, Tang Yong from Hanwha Chinese School in Germany, and Gianni Wu from the Chinese Language Education Center in Spain.

 

This event built a platform for campers who love Chinese culture to communicate and show their talents. The campers demonstrated the charm of Chinese language through recitation, and further deepened their understanding and knowledge of Chinese language and Chinese culture.
