During the meeting, Jiang Yonghua, the Vice Dean of the College of Literature and Vice Director of the Language and Culture Center, provided a detailed overview of the center's work and notable achievements. He also introduced the advanced practices and rich experiences of the center in organizing online and offline camps since hosting the "Journey to Rediscover Chinese Roots" for young overseas Chinese in 2019. Jiang Yonghua summarized the experiences from seven aspects: "characteristics, advantages, fun, safety, display, collection, and gains." He emphasized the importance of "local advantages" and "ensuring the safety of students" as key factors in successfully organizing the "Journey to Rediscover Chinese Roots." Leveraging the school's unique characteristics and local advantages is crucial, and ensuring the safety of the students, including personal safety, accommodation safety, and personal privacy safety, should not be overlooked. Huang Bei, the Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the Zhenjiang Overseas Chinese Federation, gave full recognition to the preliminary preparations for the "Journey to Rediscover Chinese Roots" summer camp at our school and provided comprehensive guidance and instructions for the next phase of work.
