2024 Ethnic Chinese college Student Cultural Experience Camp

 Successfully Completed in Zhenjiang

 2024 Chinese Culture Experience Camp for Ethic Chinese University Students, jointly organized by the China Chinese Education Foundation, Jiangsu Overseas Friendship Association, and Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education, and hosted by the Zhenjiang Overseas Friendship Association, Zhenjiang Municipal Talent Office, and Jiangsu University School of Literature (Language and Culture Center), was successfully concluded at Jiangsu University on August 25, 2024.

The purpose of this event is to enable overseas Chinese university students to perceive the charm of traditional Chinese culture and enhance their understanding of their ancestral countries. 42 Chinese university students from multiple countries, including Germany, Spain, and Italy, gathered together for a four-day in-depth cultural experience tour of Zhenjiang. The activity relies on the regional cultural characteristics of Zhenjiang, allowing campers to "travel through the mountains and rivers of ancient times, visit hundreds of famous artists, and appreciate the development of the past decade", fully experiencing the beauty of mountains, rivers, culture, and development in Zhenjiang.

Under the guidance of teachers and volunteers, the campers experienced intangible cultural heritage such as guqin, tea ordering, lacquer fans, Paper Cuttings, Taiping mud barking, and felt the charm of Chinese traditional culture in Mi Fu's creative practice of calligraphy art appreciation, pottery art, and rubbing; Visit modern enterprises such as Jiangsu Yuyue Medical Equipment Co., Ltd. and Haichang Contact Lens Co., Ltd. to see the new prospects of production and development at Danyang Urban Planning Museum and Eyewear City; Tasting pot top noodles, understanding vinegar culture, taking a night trip to Xijin Ferry, crossing time and space to see the new face of happy life in Zhenjiang; Step into Maoshan Kangyuan Health Valley, delve into Dingzhuang Vineyard and Daizhuang Modern Agriculture Exhibition Hall, and see today's beautiful new picture of ecology.

On the evening of August 25th, 2024, the Chinese Culture Experience Camp for Chinese American College Students in Zhenjiang came to an end after a unique and lively networking symposium. The campers experienced the urban landscape of Zhenjiang through various activities, and deeply felt the profound cultural heritage and vigorous development vitality of China. The campers expressed that they had left many beautiful memories in Zhenjiang and hoped to have the opportunity to return to China and Zhenjiang.
