On the evening of August 22nd, the 2024 Chinese College Students Chinese Culture Experience Camp started a unique non-heritage cultural journey in Zhenjiang Mingdu Hotel. The activity firstly focused on the art of guqin. Wu Yunli, a guqin teacher from the College of Arts and Letters of Jiangsu University, led the campers to travel through the long river of history, explained the cultural heritage of the guqin in detail, and played classic pieces such as “Wine Frenzy” and “The Crane Songs of Nine Gaos”. Volunteer Dai Zhangli demonstrated the diverse charms of the guqin with a piece called “Autumn Wind Lyrics” by the Meian School. The campers were eager to try their hands on the guqin, and under the guidance of Mr. Wu, they experienced the fun of guqin playing by playing the boldness of “A Laugh at the Sea” with simple fingerings.
In the Song Dynasty tea ordering experience, the exquisite tea ordering skills and detailed explanation of the use of tea utensils by the non-genetic heir, Mr. Song Lianke, made the campers feel as if they had traveled back to the Song Dynasty, experiencing the simplicity and elegance first-hand. This activity not only let the campers have a close contact and personal experience of the traditional Chinese cultural treasure - non-heritage culture, but also let them deeply feel the unique cultural flavor and charm of Zhenjiang, a famous historical and cultural city.
