On the morning of July 17th, the campers of the 2024 “China Roots Journey” Summer Camp Zhenjiang, Jiangsu Province “Longyinqinyun” Camp came to the China Vinegar Culture Museum to learn about the long history of Zhenjiang's vinegar culture.
First of all, the campers followed the footsteps of the leader and the lecturer to appreciate the long history of the development of vinegar culture and the mature vinegar-making technology in Zhenjiang. They were all curious and excited in the vinegar-scented museum.
Afterwards, the lecturer showed the campers the process of “vinegar spirits”, which is the core step of vinegar brewing. After watching, the campers couldn't resist the excitement in their hearts and participated in experiencing the process of turning the grains of vinegar, and the aroma of vinegar lingered in the tip of every one's nose at that moment.
After the experience, the campers moved to the tasting area, and they couldn't wait to taste the Zhenjiang balsamic vinegar. Some were attracted by the aroma of vinegar and drank four cups of it, while some drank it and frowned and praised its acidity.
Immediately after, the campers walked to the Qianqiu Bridge and were attracted by the various colors of koi underwater. The interpreter brought fish food for them to feed, and the koi jumped out of the water, bringing good luck and blessings to everyone.
Finally, the campers went into the Vinegar Culture Memorial Hall to pick up a variety of souvenirs and take pictures. The camera captured the smiling faces of the campers and recorded this unforgettable feast of vinegar culture.
Thousands of years of vinegar fragrance ties people's heart, Zhenjiang's vinegar makes the campers get close to Zhenjiang and feel the unique local customs of Zhenjiang.
