On July 16, 2024 “China Roots Journey” Summer Camp ushered in an exciting first day at the “Longyinqinyun” camp in Zhenjiang, Jiangsu Province, which was not only the starting point of a journey full of exploration and discovery for overseas Chinese youth, but also an important moment to deeply display the charm of Chinese culture and humanistic care. 1.Pick-up

  Volunteers picked up our campers at the airport in Changzhou and at the station in Zhenjiang according to the camp's arrangement, guiding them to embark on the journey of searching for their roots from afar. The arrival of each camper was accompanied by the warm welcome and thoughtful help of the volunteers, luggage handling, route guidance, every detail reflects the meticulous care.

2.Check-in

 After arriving at the camp, Jiangsu University, the campers were greeted with a series of well-prepared check-in procedures. Volunteers patiently and meticulously went through the check-in procedures for them, from room allocation to distribution of goods, every step was efficient and cozy.

3. Meals

 Some campers were not able to have lunch until late afternoon due to the tiring journey. Camp teachers noticed this detail in time and quickly led them to the dining hall to ensure that every camper could have a hot and delicious meal. This thoughtful arrangement made the campers feel the warmth of home and the care of the camp.

4.Visit

    After a short rest, the campers embarked on a journey to explore the history and culture of Jiangsu University. In the University History Museum, a picture of precious historical photos and a piece of memorable exhibits vividly tell the glorious history and outstanding achievements of Jiangsu University from its foundation to the present day. The campers were deeply attracted by these exhibits, stopping to look at them from time to time, listening attentively to the introduction of the lecturers, and becoming deeply interested in the long history and profound heritage of the university.
