Recently, entrusted by the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange of the Ministry of Education, the results of the 6th My Beautiful Encounter with China-international Student Essay and Short Video Contest held by the Overseas Study Service Center of the Ministry of Education were announced. MICHAEL LORDMARK MUBAIWA, from Zimbabwe, won the second prize in China, and Jiangsu University won the "Excellent Organization Award".

This competition is open to all international students in China, and scholars from overseas Chinese studies institute. It has drawn widespread attention and actively participated from domestic and foreign universities or educational institutions. After evaluation by the competition committee, 5 first prize, 8 second prize, and 16 third prize winning essays were ultimately selected. MICHAEL LORDMARK MUBAIWA won the second national prize for his essay collection work "I Get Connected with Guqin" by virtue of his vivid and smooth description, sincere and warm feelings, and unique and innovative ideas. His work was selected into the book "My Beautiful Encounter with China" published by People's Daily Press and will be published on relevant official websites, official account and other media.

Language and Culture Center, is responsible for Chinese language and culture teaching to international students and culture competitions at our school, organizes and guides international students to participate in high-level competitions at home and abroad every year. It encourages international students to actively show what they see and feel when studying in China, tell their Chinese stories from different perspectives, and transmit the Beautiful Emotions of Mutual Learning between Chinese and Foreign Civilizations to the World. The Language and Culture Center is invited by the Study Abroad Service Center of the Ministry of Education to represent Jiangsu University in Beijing to attend the award ceremony of the 6th "My Beautiful Encounter with China" essay and short video competition for international students.
