Notice on the 2026 Summer IELTS Training Course
To support students pursuing overseas study, exchange visits and international employment, and strengthen their core test-taking skills for IELTS, the Language and Culture Center of Jiangsu University is launching a special summer IELTS training course. This programme addresses common preparation challenges such as unstructured study plans, slow score improvement and confusion over key and difficult exam content. Backed by high-calibre instructors and a well-established language training framework, the details of the training are outlined below:
1. Training Objectives
Through systematic, tailored and targeted instruction, the course helps learners master test strategies for IELTS listening, speaking, reading and writing, break through preparation bottlenecks and boost test scores efficiently. It lays a solid linguistic foundation for students’ international development.
2. Eligible Participants
Open to both university-affiliated and external applicants.
3. Time and Venue
Period: Early July to late July 2026 Monday to Saturday, 09:00–11:35 and 14:30–17:05
Location: Jingjiang No.1 Building, Jiangsu University
4. Course Structure
Total: 60 class hours (45 minutes per class hour), with 15 hours allocated to each of the four modules: listening, speaking, reading and writing.
5. Teaching Team
The course is co-taught by senior Chinese instructors from Jiangsu University and foreign teachers. All tutors boast years of IELTS teaching and coaching experience. They are familiar with exam patterns, marking criteria and common pitfalls for test takers. They deliver personalised guidance to match learners at different proficiency levels and have a proven track record of helping students raise their scores.

Course commencement: Enrolment is limited. A final decision will be made after the registration deadline. The course will run if the minimum enrolment of 8 participants is met.
7. Training Fees
Jiangsu University students and staff: ¥1,800 per person
External participants: ¥2,700 per person
Children of Jiangsu University staff: ¥2,200 per person
8. Requirements
Participants must abide by course regulations, attend classes punctually and avoid unexcused lateness, early departures or absences. All classroom rules of Jiangsu University must be observed.
Learners are expected to complete in-class exercises, homework and mock tests, engage actively in class discussion and oral practice to maximise preparation efficiency.
Participants who attend the full course and pass the assessment will receive a certificate of completion issued by the Language and Culture Center of Jiangsu University.
