Recently, the Center for Language Education and Cooperation issued a notice, agreeing to the delegation project of “stepping on the ‘Chinese Bridge’ to start the cultural experience of Chinese agricultural machinery”, which was declared by the Language and Culture Centre of Jiangsu University.

The project is sponsored by Center for Language Education and Cooperation, undertaken by Language and Culture Center of Jiangsu University, and co-organized by School of Agricultural Engineering. The project will start in the middle of January 2022 and last for 10 days. The project will integrate Chinese language learning and Chinese agricultural machinery culture experience through online Chinese language teaching, cloud visits and cloud operations, providing a platform for participants to learn about Chinese agricultural machinery culture and stimulating their interest in further learning and exploration, thus contributing to the capacity cooperation and technological development of the agricultural equipment industry in these countries and regions. The project also takes agricultural machinery culture as a starting point for participants to learn about ancient Chinese agricultural wisdom, farming literature and culture, creating a “Chinese+” programme, broadening participants’ horizons, building a composite platform, helping to solve employment problems in countries and regions along the Belt and Road, and at the same time expanding the international influence and popularity of our agricultural engineering discipline.

The online delegation project of “Chinese Bridge” is an online communication project organized by Center for Language Education and Cooperation to maintain the enthusiasm of overseas young people for Chinese learning and to meet their needs for understanding Chinese language and culture. Due to the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic, the “Chinese Bridge” project is conducted in the form of online group communication.
